Itinerary
DAY 1 – Turda & Alba Iulia
Departure to Turda, where we visit Turda Salt Mine, one of the most spectacular salt mines in Europe.
We continue the journey to Alba Iulia, where we have lunch and visit Alba Carolina Citadel, one of the most important Vauban-style fortifications in Romania.
In the evening, we return to Sibiu, where dinner will be served.
day 2 – Sibiu & Sighișoara
In the first part of the day, we visit the Historic Center of Sibiu, one of the most beautiful medieval cities in Europe.
We continue the journey to Sighişoara, with a stop at Jidvei Winery, where we take part in a wine tasting.
We arrive in Sighişoara, where we have lunch and explore the medieval citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the afternoon, we return to Sibiu, where we enjoy a traditional Romanian dinner.
DAY 3 – Brașov, Bran & Local experiences
Departure to Brașov.
On the way, we visit the Bear Sanctuary in Zărnești, the largest sanctuary for brown bears in Europe.
We continue with a visit to the Palinca Distillery in Râșnov, where we take part in a guided tour and a palinca tasting.
We then visit Bran Castle, also known as Dracula’s Castle, followed by a walk in the historic center of Brașov.
In the evening, we return to Sibiu for dinner.
Optional: special dinner at Bran Castle, followed by the return to Sibiu around midnight.
DAY 4 – Mărginimea Sibiului & Authentic traditions
After breakfast, we depart for Mărginimea Sibiului, one of the most authentic ethnographic regions in Romania.
We visit traditional villages and arrive in Jina, where we are welcomed by local young people dressed in traditional costumes, with Romanian music and traditional dances.
We visit a traditional shepherd’s hut, where we will enjoy an authentic shepherds’ lunch.
In the evening, we return to Sibiu for dinner.
